Spondylolisthesis is a condition in which a vertebra (bone) in the spine slips out of its proper position and slides forward or backward on the vertebra below it. This can cause a range of symptoms, including pain, stiffness, and difficulty moving. Spondylolisthesis can be caused by a variety of factors, including degenerative changes in the spine, injury or trauma, and certain medical conditions such as osteoporosis. The severity of spondylolisthesis is typically graded on a scale of 1 to 4, with 1 being the mildest and 4 being the most severe. Treatment for spondylolisthesis may include non-surgical approaches such as neural therapy, Prolotherapy, and exercise. In some instances surgery may be the only option. It is important to consult with a Dr. Philipose for proper diagnosis and treatment of spondylolisthesis.
