Rebuilding after chemotherapy and radiation, in Tulsa.
We are not a cancer treatment center, and nothing we offer is a cancer treatment. This page is about the part that comes after: getting your strength, energy, and daily function back once active treatment has ended. We work alongside your oncology team and we ask that you keep them informed of everything you do here.
Treatment ending is supposed to feel like the finish line, and for a lot of people it does not. The fatigue lingers. Strength and stamina are gone. Sleep is off. Appetite has not come back. Most of the medical attention was on the cancer, and the rebuilding part gets far less support than it deserves.
What people come to us for after treatment
- Fatigue that has not lifted since treatment ended
- Deconditioning, weakness, and loss of stamina
- Poor sleep
- Appetite, nutrition, and documented nutrient deficiencies
- Difficulty getting back to work, exercise, and normal daily activity
How we approach it
Every person’s situation is different, so we start by listening and understanding your goals rather than applying a template. Depending on what we find, that may include nutritional lab work and correcting documented deficiencies, IV nutrient support when oral intake or absorption is limited, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, laser therapy, and graded activity guidance.
Where a therapy is investigational or not FDA-approved for a given use, we will say so plainly, and we will give you an honest picture of what the current evidence does and does not show. These services are supportive. They are designed to complement your medical care, not replace it.
Please keep your oncologist in the loop
Before starting any supplement or supportive therapy, talk to your oncologist. Some interact with chemotherapy and radiation, and some are not appropriate depending on your history. If your symptoms are new, worsening, or concerning, your oncologist should evaluate them first. We are glad to send notes to your treating physicians directly.
If you live in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, and you are looking for support rebuilding your health after treatment, contact our team at Venturis Clinic to talk through where you are and what would actually help.
