Genetic Testing & Genome Sequencing in Oklahoma City

Venturis Clinic, Oklahoma City · Serving Oklahoma City and surrounding areas, including Tulsa

Venturis Clinic now offers genetic testing and genome sequencing for patients in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and across Oklahoma. Testing is performed by CLIA-certified laboratories, reviewed with our clinical team, and is the first step for patients exploring individualized treatment under Oklahoma’s SB 933.

Tests we offer

Whole genome sequencing

Reads nearly all of your roughly three billion DNA base pairs. It is the most complete picture of your genetic code and the data set most often needed to design an individualized treatment.

Whole exome sequencing

Focuses on the protein-coding regions of your genes, where most known disease-causing variants are found. Often used when a rare genetic condition is suspected.

Pharmacogenomic testing

Looks at genes that affect how you process medications, which can help your prescribers choose drugs and doses.

Nutrigenomic and wellness panels

Panels such as 3X4 Genetics that look at variants involved in methylation, detoxification, inflammation and nutrient metabolism. These are listed on our lab testing page.

Who considers genetic testing

  • Patients with complex, unexplained or multi-system illness
  • Patients with a family history of a genetic condition
  • Patients exploring individualized treatment pathways, including SB 933
  • Patients who have had poor responses or side effects from multiple medications

How it works

  1. Free 15-minute discovery call to decide which test, if any, fits your goals.
  2. Sample collection, usually saliva or a blood draw, at our Oklahoma City clinic.
  3. Laboratory analysis at a CLIA-certified partner laboratory.
  4. Results review with our clinical team, and a copy of your report and, where available, raw data.
  5. Next steps, which may include referral to a genetic counselor or specialist for medically significant findings.

Your privacy

The federal Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) prohibits health insurers and most employers from using your genetic information against you. GINA does not cover life, disability or long-term care insurance, so consider that before testing. Your results are part of your protected health record and are not shared without your written authorization.

What genetic testing can and can’t tell you

Genetic results describe risk and biology. Most variants raise or lower risk rather than determine an outcome, and some are “variants of uncertain significance.” We’ll be clear about which findings are actionable and which are not.

Genetic tests are ordered through and performed by third-party CLIA-certified laboratories. Results are educational and should be reviewed with a qualified clinician; significant findings may warrant confirmation and genetic counseling.
