Integrative Cancer Care in Oklahoma

By Venturis Clinic

Cancer treatment asks a lot of your body. Integrative cancer support helps you stay nourished, stronger, and better supported through treatment and recovery, always alongside your oncologist.

Appetite changes, weight loss, fatigue, digestive problems, and nutrient depletion are common during treatment. They affect how you feel and how well you tolerate the care your oncology team has prescribed. Our work focuses on those needs for patients across Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

This is supportive care, not cancer treatment, and it is not an alternative to it. Your oncologist directs your cancer care. We work alongside that care to support your nutrition, energy, and recovery.

Who This Is For

  • Patients in active treatment who want nutritional and supportive care coordinated with their oncology team
  • Patients who have finished treatment and are working through lingering fatigue, digestive issues, neuropathy, or deconditioning
  • Patients already taking supplements who want a knowledgeable review of whether those choices are safe alongside their treatment
  • Family members looking for practical ways to help someone they love

Nutritional Assessment and Nutrient Support

Good nutrition helps people keep their strength during and after cancer treatment. Our support starts with understanding where your body stands.

  • Lab assessment where it changes the plan. We may check for deficiencies that are common during treatment, such as vitamin D, B12, iron, and magnesium. See our lab testing.
  • Practical eating guidance. Many people need more protein and calories during treatment, not less. We help you build a plan you can actually follow on hard days.
  • Nutrient support within our scope. This can include targeted nutritional support and IV nutrient therapy where appropriate.
  • Coordination on every plan. Every supplement or nutrient plan is reviewed with your oncology team, because some antioxidants and herbs can interfere with chemotherapy or radiation.

RGCC Testing, Vitamin C, Nutrition IVs and Ozone in Oklahoma City

Many Oklahomans have had to travel out of state, or to Mexico or Europe, for specialty testing and integrative supportive care. Venturis offers these services here in Oklahoma City, coordinated with your oncology team. None of them is a treatment for cancer or a replacement for the care your oncologist prescribes.

  • RGCC testing. A specialty blood test that looks for circulating tumor cells and runs laboratory sensitivity panels on them. We arrange the blood draw here and explain what the report contains so you can take it to your oncologist, who interprets it in the context of your care. Learn more in our free RGCC testing guide.
  • High-dose IV vitamin C. Vitamin C given by IV reaches blood levels that are not possible by mouth. It is studied as a supportive therapy, including for quality of life and fatigue during and after cancer treatment. It is not FDA-approved to treat cancer. It requires G6PD screening and kidney function labs first, and its timing must be cleared with your oncologist because it can interact with some chemotherapy and radiation plans. Read what the research on IV vitamin C shows.
  • Nutrition and hydration IVs. IV fluids, vitamins and minerals for people struggling with appetite, nausea, dehydration or low nutrient levels, based on your labs.
  • Ozone therapy. Some patients ask about ozone as supportive care, most often after treatment ends. Ozone therapy is investigational, is not FDA-approved to treat any disease, and is not a cancer treatment. Whether it is appropriate, and when, is decided case by case after a Good Faith Exam and with your oncologist’s knowledge. See ozone therapy safety.

Every service starts with a Good Faith Exam and is performed by licensed medical staff under our medical director. Nothing is started without your oncology team being informed.

What a Consultation Covers

  • Review of your current nutritional status, weight trajectory, and symptom burden
  • Review of every supplement and product you are currently taking
  • Functional lab testing where it would change the plan, not by default
  • A written summary you can hand to your oncology team
  • A supportive care plan within our scope, adjusted as your treatment changes

Why Coordination Matters

Supplements are not automatically safe during cancer treatment. Several herbal products affect the liver enzymes that process chemotherapy drugs, which can change drug levels in either direction. St. John’s wort is the best-documented example, but it is not the only one.

Many patients take a cabinet full of products their oncologist has never seen. Making that list visible, reviewing it against your treatment, and sharing it with your oncology team is one of the most valuable things we do. For more detail, see Supplements During Chemotherapy: What the Evidence Actually Says.

What We Need From You

We need a diagnosis and treatment plan from an oncologist, and permission to share our written summary with your oncology team. Reviewing supplements for interactions means knowing which drugs you are on, at what doses, and on what schedule.

If you feel unheard by your oncologist, you are far from alone. That is a reason to seek a second opinion, not a reason to go without oncology care. If you are between oncologists, bring what you have and we can work with that.

If you have finished treatment and moved to surveillance, bring your treatment summary. If you have decided against conventional cancer treatment entirely, we are not the right fit, and we would rather tell you that on a free call than after you have paid for anything.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not diagnose, stage, or treat cancer
  • We do not advise you on whether to accept, delay, decline, or discontinue any oncology treatment
  • We do not offer any therapy as a replacement for conventional cancer treatment
  • We do not tell you which treatment center to choose; that decision belongs to you and your oncologist
  • We do not interpret your oncology imaging or pathology
  • We do not use any lab result, including RGCC testing, to direct your chemotherapy, radiation or other oncology treatment

Questions in those categories go to your oncologist. When we order specialty labs such as RGCC testing, we explain what the report contains so you can take it to your oncologist, who interprets it in the context of your care.

Considering an Integrative Cancer Center Abroad?

Some patients choose to visit an integrative cancer center in another country. If you are weighing that option, Venturis can help you prepare and follow through closer to home:

  • Testing before you go. Many overseas centers ask for RGCC testing and recent labs. We can arrange these here so you arrive with results in hand. See RGCC testing in Oklahoma vs. Mexico.
  • Referrals and records. We work with integrative cancer centers overseas and can help coordinate referrals and send your records.
  • Support when you return. If an overseas program recommends ongoing IV nutrition or other supportive care, we can review those recommendations and, where appropriate and within our scope, provide that care in Oklahoma City.

The decision to seek care abroad is yours to make with your oncologist. We encourage you to keep your oncology team informed and to ask any overseas center about its licensing, its evidence, and its total costs before you commit.
