Ozone Therapy Training for Practitioners

Venturis Clinic’s founder, Alvin Philipose, teaches ozone therapy to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other licensed practitioners, and he wrote the book Ozone Therapy: The Promising Science Behind Healing and Wellness. This page is for practitioners who want to learn ozone therapy, or who want to refer patients to an established ozone program in Oklahoma City.

Who the training is for

  • Physicians (MD/DO), nurse practitioners and physician assistants adding ozone to an integrative or functional medicine practice
  • Registered nurses who will prepare and administer ozone under a provider’s orders
  • Practitioners who already offer ozone and want to tighten their screening, dosing and documentation
  • Clinic owners deciding whether ozone and EBOO fit their practice

Each practitioner is responsible for practicing within the scope of their own license and state rules, which differ from state to state.

What the training covers

  • Ozone fundamentals: ozone chemistry, the hormesis model, and what the research does and does not show
  • Routes of delivery: major autohemotherapy, multi-pass ozone, EBOO, ozonated saline, prolozone joint injections, and topical preparations such as ozonated glycerin
  • Patient selection: the Good Faith Exam, G6PD screening, lab review, and absolute and relative contraindications
  • Dosing: concentration and volume concepts, conservative starting points, and how to titrate
  • Equipment and set-up: medical-grade oxygen, generator calibration, closed systems, and keeping ozone out of room air
  • Safety: recognizing and managing adverse events, and why direct IV gas injection is never used
  • Operations: informed consent, charting, staff roles, and building a compliant ozone service

Why learn from a working ozone program

The training draws on the same protocols, screening steps and safety checks used every day at Venturis Clinic in Oklahoma City, where ozone treatments are performed by licensed medical staff under our medical director. Practitioners see how a full ozone service runs, from first phone call to aftercare. Patients can read how we explain this to them in ozone therapy in Oklahoma City and ozone therapy side effects and safety.

The book

Alvin Philipose’s book, Ozone Therapy: The Promising Science Behind Healing and Wellness, is used alongside the training as a clinical reference. Ask about a copy when you contact us about training.

Refer a patient instead

If you would rather refer than train, Venturis accepts referrals for ozone therapy, EBOO therapy and related care. We keep the referring practitioner informed. See provider referrals for how it works.
